Delaware Teen Science Café: The Anatomy of Athletics
March 10 @ 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
On Friday, March 10, learn what happens inside the brain when a concussion occurs. Get hands-on experience evaluating and treating concussions and participating in games, from endurance and vertical jump testing with pulse oximeters to testing how fast you can throw a ball. Test your body to the limit and understand the science behind our strength! Guest speaker is Thomas A. Buckley, Associate Professor of Kinesiology & Applied Physiology, University of Delaware.

The Delaware Teen Science Café is designed for teens by teens in our community to engage in STEAM-related topics delivered by local experts in the field. This program is specifically designed for grades 7-12. Pizza dinner is included.
Pre-registration required. Free admission for teens in grades 7-12 only. Free pizza, drinks, and snacks included. Please note: registration is a two-part process. After completing the registration below, please fill out the information form. Registrations are not finalized until both forms are completed.
