Membership Policies
- Membership is good for 12 months of unlimited, free general admission to DelMNS. It does not include free admission to special events, tours, birthday parties, or educational programs unless noted for that particular event.
- Membership cards and privileges are NOT TRANSFERABLE.
- Membership cards and ID must be presented by a named card holder when visiting the museum. Children must be accompanied by an adult named card holder.
- Card holders must be 18 or older. Memberships may not be purchased in a child’s name.
- Memberships are not refundable, in whole or in part.
- Lost cards will be replaced one time free of charge. After that a fee of $5 will be charged for additional replacements.
- Membership policies are subject to change at anytime. We do our best to keep members informed when this happens.
Caregiver Add-on
Have a nanny, babysitter, or grandparent bringing your kids to the museum? Make sure they are named on your membership cards, per our membership policies above. For $20, you may add one additional adult to your membership cards. Please reach out to via email at jquinn@delmns.org or via phone at 302-658-9111 x320, to purchase this add-on.
Memberships are digital!
Located right on your smartphone, you no longer need to search for your paper card. Follow the links below to download your membership cards and the app.
Once downloaded, all you need to do is select Show Membership Card and we can scan the barcode at the front desk! When you renew your membership, you will need to redownload your membership cards. If you would still like a paper card, no problem! Email Julia Quinn and we can send your paper cards to you.
To download your membership cards with the eMembership App:
- Download eMembership App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
2. Select Delaware Museum of Nature and Science, then touch Find My Membership Cards
3. Enter:
a) Your membership number and your last name, or
b) Your phone number and last name
Please make sure you have the most recent update for the eMembership app to ensure you are receiving the correct information. For level 6, 8, and 10 members, your guest passes can be found under Membership Benefits.

Reciprocal Museum Benefits
Members receive free or reduced admission to more than 350 Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) museums and facilities worldwide. Available only at level Four and above.
ASTC reciprocal program offers free or reduced general admission at participating museums. It does not include special events or programs. You must present your membership card and ID to receive benefits at ASTC museums.
Many ASTC museums within a 90-mile radius have restrictions. We recommend you call ahead to the museum you plan to visit to confirm benefits, and that members of other ASTC museums that may be restricted contact DelMNS to confirm benefits. Some restricted ASTC museums in our area include:
The Franklin Institute (DelMNS members do not get free admission to the Franklin Institute, so Franklin Institute members do not get free admission to DelMNS),
Maryland Science Center (DelMNS members residing in Maryland do not get free admission to the Maryland Science Center),
North Museum (DelMNS members residing in the Lancaster area do not get free admission to the North Museum).
The North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association is an affiliation of over 1,000 arts, cultural, and historical institutions along with botanical gardens, children’s museums, science and technology centers and more, that offer their individual NARM qualified members reciprocal benefits in four North American countries. Members get FREE admission and discounts in museum stores. Available only at level Six and above.
NARM reciprocal program offers free or reduced general admission at participating cultural institutions. It does not include special events or programs. You must present your membership card and ID to receive benefits at NARM museums. Some museums have restrictions. We recommend you call ahead to the museum you plan to visit to confirm benefits. Some restricted NARM museums in our area include: Winterthur and Brandywine River Museum. DelMNS members do not get free admission to these museums, however, they may participate in the Explore and Save program for $2 off.
The Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) program offers free or reduced general admission at participating museums. Other benefits include member shop discounts and may include access or special member pricing to member-only special events, lectures or exhibitions. Some museums have restrictions. Available only at level Six and above.
Some museums have restrictions. Some restricted ROAM museums in our area include: Delaware Art Museum, Delaware Contemporary, and Winterthur.
DelMNS members do not get free admission to these museums, however, they may participate in the Explore and Save program for $2 off.
Meet Julia
I’m Julia Quinn, the Membership Manager here at the Delaware Museum of Nature and Science.
I am a nature lover at heart. I’ve always been someone who loves being outside and learning more about the amazing world around us, which led me to graduate from the University of Delaware with a degree in Wildlife/Insect Ecology and Conservation.
I started as a part-time educator here at the museum. After a few months, I applied for the membership coordinator position to learn and help the museum grow even more than it already has. I look forward to supporting you to ensure you get the most from your membership!
