The Delaware Teen Science Café is designed for teens by teens in our community to engage in STEAM-related topics delivered by local experts in the field.
A typical Delaware Teen Science Café may consist of food, collaboration, special guest speakers, activities, and more. This program is specifically designed for grades 7-12.

From delicate cleaning and restoration processes to making your own natural pigments, you’ll uncover the artful science behind the restoration of masterpieces. Join us to unlock the mysteries hidden within the strokes of famous artworks and discover the science behind art conservation!
Our speaker is Madeline Hagerman, Director, Undergraduate Art Conservation Program and Assistant Professor, University of Delaware.

The Teen Leadership Team
The Teen Leadership Team is responsible for hosting the Delaware Teen Science Cafés. Teen Leadership Team members select the Café topics and prepare presenters, advertise and draw other teens to the Cafés, and assist in the planning and implementation of activities related to the Cafés.

The Delaware Teen Science Café is part of the Teen Science Café Network. Teen Science Cafés are out-of-school programs are a free, fun way for teens to explore the big advances in science and technology affecting their lives. Teens and STEM experts engage in lively conversations and activities to explore a topic deeply.
