PNC Grow Up Great Nature Nook

The Nature Nook is a special place for young children to enjoy hands-on fun, with story times, crafts and lots of time for interactive, creative play.

Bill & Denise Spence Discovery Gallery

Adjacent to the Atrium, the Bill & Denise Spence Discovery Gallery provides a welcoming atmosphere with experiential opportunities to explore concepts introduced throughout the museum. This flexible space highlight temporary exhibits with community partners, and hosts special events.

Ellice & Rosa McDonald Foundation PaleoZone

The new museum includes a dedicated space for the only permanent dinosaur exhibit in the state of Delaware. The focal point of the PaleoZone is a dramatic presentation of creatures that lived right here in the Mid-Atlantic United States during the Cretaceous Period. Skeletons of the fearsome Dryptosaurus dinosaur, the flying “bat lizard” Nyctosaur, and the aquatic giant Mosasaur are joined by smaller Cretaceous specimens.

Alison K. Bradford Global Journey Gallery

Diverse life evolves and adapts to a dynamic Earth. Explore some of the world’s spectacular ecosystems, including shallow, midwater and deep oceans, the Arctic Tundra, African Savanna, and Tropical Rainforest.

Rest, Relax, & Recharge Cafe

The Rest, Relax, & Recharge café, adjacent to the PaleoZone, offers prepackaged sandwiches, salads and snacks from Jamestown Catering, along with coffee, water, and other beverages. A menu for kids is included in the options, and a bottle warmer is available for caregivers of young children.

Regional Journey Gallery

Stroll across a giant floor map of the state and explore the diverse ecosystems in the region, including temperate forests, dunes, salt marshes, the bald cypress swamp, and the Delaware Bay.
